Rewriting Leadership: How Kind Leaders Shape the Future
This Microcourse explores how kindness can redefine leadership in schools, challenging the misconception that it is a sign of weakness rather than a source of strength.
Designed for current and aspiring school leaders, it introduces the CHASE framework - Communication, Honesty, Accountability, Self-esteem and Ego awareness - as a practical approach to building trust, strengthening relationships and shaping positive school cultures.
Drawing on research from psychology, leadership theory and neuroscience, it examines how kind leadership supports psychological safety, improves wellbeing and drives high performance. Key themes include leading with clarity and compassion, balancing accountability with empathy, and embedding values into everyday practice, all grounded in real-world application and actionable leadership insight.
